I greatly enjoy programming because it allows me to make things possible that no one else has attempted. I hope that bringing my programming knowledge into Trinity Robotics will allow me to express my creativity and enhance not just my team, but Trinity Robotics as a whole. My experience in programming mostly revolves around machine learning and algorithms, so I’m really excited to try my hand at building models and algorithms in robotics this year, especially for the autonomous tasks we will need to complete.

I am a very curious person who is passionate about science. I have been on the robotics team for 3 years. I was a part time member who helps out the team on Saturdays in my sophomore year. I started to be an official member of the team in my Junior year and have been in the position of coding director. Because of Ralph’s departure, the coding team lost its only member, Bernardo and I self learned, referenced and developed our own autonomous and software foundation. We truly learned a lot in the process, not only about the code, but also about teamwork, and the importance of passing the knowledge to the new generation. We introduced the program to many new members in our coding team including Terry and Daniel. In the end, we finished the first Autonomous program in our school history, and qualified for the state tournament. I love Trinity robotics because I love to cooperate with people and to learn more about engineering. Now with the new building and so many new members, I am looking forward to a wonderful season!

The first engineering experience I can remember having was when I was 10 years old at a Montessori school in Chapel Hill, where we built dulcimers out of wood that we measured and cut ourselves. Ever since then I have loved engineering and everything STEM. Throughout Middle School and elementary school I took a number of coding summer camps and was in the engineering club and elective. When I came to High School I did not know there was a robotics team, and I was ecstatic when I found out Trinity had one. I have been on the team since and loved every minute of it and I am excited this year to be a big part of outreach so I can better encourage others and inspire and teach the next generation of robotics students and engineers!

The life of an engineer involves so many nuances, nuances that may be, no, definitely are, the very allure that brought me here. Designing through the use of 3D CAD softwares is probably the best part of robotics simply because of all the creative freedom. Robotics has been a part of my life since 7th grade, and since then, I’ve been able to exercise my innovative prowess on three different teams through both strategy and design. Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing tennis and running XC, but the most demanding of my ventures is writing a manifesto for a dear friend.

I enjoy playing baseball and running in my free time. I have a brother and sister who have both been a part of the robotics team. I joined robotics because I have always enjoyed problem solving and working in a team. I am very excited to learn and become better at robotics, working in a team, and problem solving this year. This is my first year in robotics and I hope to learn as much as I can to help more people in the future. I want to help encourage my teammates, and I am very excited to be apart of such a great team and to be in such a great building!

I’ve lived in Chapel Hill since 2016, and enrolled at Trinity back in 2018. Since then, I’ve had a lot of fun in Trinity’s engineering classes. These engineering classes got me thinking about robotics, and this year I finally decided to join the team. As a designer, I am eager to understand more about the planning process and understand how the robot is constructed from an idea to a physical product. Throughout the season, I hope that I will be able to learn from my teammates, and apply this knowledge to help others as well. In my free time, I like running track and cross country and playing games.

I grew up in the Triangle Area and have been at Trinity since 2019. I like swimming and tech. I joined robotics to learn more about engineering as I want to do engineering in the future. I enjoy designing/building things and collaborating with others. This is my first year so I hope to learn much from veterans of this program. I look forward to the season and hope the team has a good time together.

I have 2 brothers Owen, Justin and one sister, Abigail. I like swimming and playing spike ball. I have been at Trinity for 11 years. I’m excited to learn a lot this year. I’m doing robotics because I want to learn engineering and I love working as part of the team. I hope robotics will teach me valuable skills about engineering and computer science. I want to bring a good work ethic and a willingness to learn.

I joined Robotics because my older sister was a member of the team, and I wanted to follow in her footsteps. Being a builder doesn’t seem like much, but you work closely with the design team for designing new parts for the robot, usually going through multiple designs before you find the one you want. Plus, someone has to build the robot. Not exactly easy to assemble one, especially alone. It does help you get better at putting things together and learning what will and won’t work.
