I am honored to be serving as the captain of Team 3587 for a second season during my 13th year at Trinity. Last year, I learned a lot about managing a robotics team and creating a functional robot with limited time, and I’m excited to apply that knowledge to this robotics season. In college, I would like to study aerospace engineering, and being a part of Team 3587 has helped make me familiar with the engineering design process. It has also helped me make friends with other engineers, who are people I have a lot in common with. In my free time, I’m a total tech nerd who loves to fly drones and work on electronics.

This is my second year at Trinity and my second year doing FTC. Back in 6th grade, I participated in another FIRST program, FIRST Lego League (FLL). During FLL I had a lot of fun, and when I came to Trinity I knew I wanted to join Robotics. I enjoy Trinity Robotics because it allows me to connect with new people and improve my problem solving skills. Also, I get to be a part of a group of people who share a common passion. My objective this year is to be the best teammate I can be while learning lots of new things. For recreation, I enjoy playing soccer and basketball with friends.

Coming into my second year of Robotics, I am excited to take on not only engineering and design but also outreach. I love engineering and plan on doing either biomedical or electrical engineering in college. I’ve grown up in the Triangle Area and have been a student at Trinity since 2018. Alongside loving tech, I have been a competitive swimmer for more than 10 years. As a veteran, I hope to be able to mentor those who are new to the program. I look forward to a great second season and hope the team has a good time together.

I’m really excited to be a part of Trinity Robotics for the first time this year! Ever since I learned robotics was a thing, which was probably around 2nd or 3rd grade, I’ve wanted to be a part of it. I’ve always been interested in STEAM and so now being able to use my skills to build something great along others who are passionate about this is amazing. I’m excited to not only contribute but hopefully learn a few things as well. Along with enjoying building and designing, I love playing and composing music as well as playing golf. I’m excited for all thing new things I’ll learn, the inspiring people I’ll meet, and I’m thankful  to be a part of such an extraordinary opportunity.

This being my first year of Robotics at Trinity means I’m not able to explain much on what it is. Though, I’ve had multiple connections with people in past Robotics years and some others that are still on Robotics to this day. Each and every one of them have earned my respect due to their hard work and enjoyment of STEM. I myself love everything involved in STEM, especially designing and building, and I’m very glad to be growing this passion at my school. On top of Robotics, I’ve been involved in Cross Country, Swimming, and Track. I’m so excited for this year and hope for the best come competition days.

Greetings! I am Daniel Stepp! This is my 13th year at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill. Both my brother and sister participated in FTC when they were in high school, so have experience in robotics. This is my 2nd year on the team and I can’t wait to grow into being a better Engineer, Designer, teammate, leader, and friend this year. I enjoy Trinity Robotics because it allows me to think outside the box, learn through experience, and work together as a team. I had really fun last year learning about Robotics, so I hope to continue having fun this year.

As a returning robotics member, I am excited to collaborate with my peers on this year’s FTC competition. High School robotics has been a long dream of mine and I enjoy working with others who share my same interest. I love exploring science and technology and I am grateful for the opportunity that Trinity Robotics has given me. I have experience in Coding and Design but am enthusiastic to improve my skills and lead others on my team. Outside of robotics I am also involved in the visual arts at Trinity and run Cross-Country as well holding my own hobbies of 3D printing and running a lawn/yard business.

This is my second year as a member of Trinity robotics. Last year I was also in the engineering and design section of my team, and I hope I am able to use my experience well. I enjoy learning about engineering and I would like to major in either civil, computer, or mechanical engineering in college. I love being on the robotics team as I get to learn and build cool things and bond and work well with my team. Outside of robotics I also have swum year-round for 13 years. I’m excited for this season, and hope to learn new things and make more friends.

Despite this being my first year I have a decent amount of experience in what we do in Robotics. Throughout my life I've been taking part in many engineering related courses/summer camps and wanted to put all that work towards something, that something being the robotics team. I’m excited to finally be an Engineer/Designer for Trinity Durham and Chapel Hills 3587 robotic team, and I feel like I'll receive gratification to finally have lots of creativity in what my team and I are designing and to get a little competitive with what we make in the FTC competitions. In addition to that I'm planning to study Engineering in college and robotics will help me expand on my knowledge in STEM and apply it throughout college.

When I first heard about the robotics team, I knew it was something I wanted to do. I have always had a love for science and technology and I would like to go into the fields of material science and quantum computing. Since this is my first year of the robotics team, I have a lot to learn about what it means to be on a robotics team and to compete with the robots my teammates and I have made. I also have a lot to learn about design, engineering, and coding as well as organization. Outside of competing in robotics I also compete in cross country, swimming, and track.
